This fly fishing holiday package will provide you with the fishing experience of a lifetime. We have several rivers and rapids in the area which are perfect for white-water anglers. Fish native to this area are trout and grayling.
Most popular fishing spot is Jormasjoki river, running in a depression amid meadows and field, allowing the angler to fish undisturbed. Then again Jormaskoski, a continuous stretch of rapids more than one and a half kilometres in length, is an extensive and comfortably accessible fishing destination. Fish are ready to bite along the entire length of these popular fishing grounds. Another great spot for trout is Virtalan virrat, a section of both mild and swift current which lies at the outlet into Lake Jormasjärvi, a natural lake setting beautifully framed by the eskers of Vuokatti.
After a day or two it is already time to change to another river – maybe river Ontojoki which is a large river maintained with salmonoid stocking or beautiful river Tuhkajoki which is a small stream with many rapids. Within a short driving distance from Vuokatti we have many to choose from and our expert guide will direct you to the best fishing spots. The necessary fishing equipment you will need during this trip is available for rent at Vuokatinmaa but if you have your own you may bring it with you.
And if one of the days, you don’t feel like fishing, there are plenty of other activities as well – hiking, husky-safaris, canoeing, bear watching. Why don’t you bring your whole family – you can spend your time with fishing and your family at Vuokatti with its’ numerous activities.
