Summer activities
During the summer Vuokatinmaa and Vuokatti are at their most liveliest. The area's numerous pastimes and activities are guaranteed to keep visitors busy. You can play golf, go bowling, row, swim, paddle, fish, cycle, play tennis, ski in the unique ski tunnel or go snowboarding in the snowboarding tunnel! In the evening discover Finnish dance culture at Naapurivaara Dance Hall on the top of Naapurivaara Hill. There are also nature trails, a marked hunting trail and the sparkling clear fishing grounds of Lake Nuasjärvi.
Vuokatinmaa can also arrange for you guided fishing and hunting expeditions to Lentiira and over into Russian Karelia.
Winter activities
During the winter Vuokatinmaa offers its guests exotic pastimes and action-packed days. Vuokatimaa holiday homes are just 1.5 km from Vuokatti's famous downhill skiing slopes. At the Vuokatti Downhill Centre you can go downhill skiing, snowboarding, ski trekking, snowmobiling or even try a husky dog safari. Or if you prefer just take in the great holiday atmosphere of Vuokatti.
Amidst the wintry scenery visitors can also go skiing, ice fishing, ice-skating or even try ski jumping. A cross-country skiing trail links Vuokatinmaa with the 100 km long network of trails which criss-crosses the ever-changing landscapes of Vuokatti. In fact you'll find a trail passing by right in front of your Vuokatinmaa holiday home!
Those afraid of the freezing temperatures should head for Holiday Club Katinkulta's spa baths and saunas or maybe Vuokatin Halli where they can play sports or work out. At Katinkulta allow yourself to be pampered in the superb tropical spa with its unique Sauna World. At Vuokatin Halli there's a fitness gym, and sports hall and swimming pool. The Vuokatti area also has much of interest for the culturally oriented holiday-maker including various museums and art exhibitions. Here in Vuokatti there's plenty to do however freezing the temperatures may get.
